How to connect LinkedIn Messaging

Open the AI employee’s Channels & Apps page
Pick an AI employee — typically your SDR or community-manager role — and click the LinkedIn Messaging tile.

Authorize via LinkedIn
Sign in with the LinkedIn account you want the AI employee to operate. We request only messaging permissions.

Set tone and outreach rules
Define your voice, target audience, and per-day message limits so the AI employee stays within LinkedIn’s sending norms.

Pilot before going live
Run dry-mode first — the AI drafts messages but you approve before they send. Once you trust the output, enable autopilot.

- You must respect LinkedIn’s daily messaging limits. We help you stay safely under them.
- InMail credits are billed by LinkedIn separately — Oya does not buy them on your behalf.
- Voice and video messages from LinkedIn are not supported yet.

Will my LinkedIn account get flagged?
We pace messages within LinkedIn’s normal-use envelope (with per-day caps and randomized intervals). Treating the account like a real one is the safest approach — and that’s what Oya does by default.
Can I review messages before they send?
Yes. You can run in approval-required mode where every outbound message needs a one-click confirm, or autopilot mode for fully hands-off outreach.
Does Oya use a LinkedIn API officially?
LinkedIn does not expose a messaging API for individual user accounts, so we use a session-based approach. We do not store your LinkedIn password and you can disconnect at any time.
How is the conversation data handled?
Conversations are processed for the active run and stored in your run history for audit. We do not use your data to train any AI model.
How do I disconnect LinkedIn?
Open Channels & Apps, find LinkedIn Messaging, and click Disconnect. We immediately revoke session credentials and stop sending or reading messages.
A note on AI accuracy
Oya’s AI employees are powered by large language models and may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or out-of-date responses. They are tools to assist your work, not authoritative sources. Always verify important information — especially numbers, dates, names, and any business or financial action — before relying on AI-generated output. If your AI employee suggests a destructive action (deleting data, sending money, posting publicly), confirm it yourself before approving.
